About Us
Kazrog creates uncompromising audio plugins for VST, AU, AAX, and LV2 — merging precision DSP with deep analog soul. Founded in 2008 by developer and producer Shane McFee, Kazrog's tools have earned multiple NAMM TEC Award nominations, and are trusted by professionals across music, film, and broadcast.
Kazrog's catalog to date spans dynamics processing, equalization, saturation, and guitar amp simulation. KClip has become the go-to clipper plugin for mixing and mastering engineers worldwide, with its multiband architecture and eight distinct clipping modes setting a standard that competitors are measured against. True Iron brought the sound of six legendary hardware transformers into the plugin world, earning a permanent place in mix templates from bedroom studios to major facilities alike. The MHB Series — developed in close collaboration with Grammy-winning mix engineer Michael Brauer — captures the sound of rare, one-of-a-kind hardware from Michael's personal collection. And official partnerships with Retro Instruments and Avalon Design have produced faithful emulations of some of the most coveted analog processors ever built.
Everything is designed, coded, and modeled in-house. We don't outsource our DSP, we don't cut corners on analog accuracy, and we don't ship until a plugin sounds right at every setting — not just the ones that demo well. Our plugins are built for ultra-low CPU usage and minimal latency so they work across full sessions, not just in isolation.
Every Kazrog plugin comes with a perpetual license, no iLok requirement, no subscription fees, and free demos with no time limit. We believe pro-quality tools should be accessible, honestly priced, and yours to keep.
At Kazrog, every plugin is driven by one goal: to empower artists with the highest fidelity, flexibility, and focus possible. No gimmicks. No fluff. Just great sound.
