Here's what's new....

Introducing MHB Red

The newest member of the Kazrog family is here. MHB Red is now available — check it out!

Updates Across All Plugins

Every Kazrog plugin has been updated today with the following improvements:

  • Preset A/B state now saves with DAW sessions. The A/B preset comparison state is now fully preserved when saving and loading DAW sessions. Previously, only the active preset was saved — now both the A and B slots and the active selection are restored when you reopen your project. This also resolves an issue where preset names (and sometimes plugin settings) could be lost depending on the A/B state and host.
  • VST2/VST3 automation compatibility improvements. Parameter ID handling has been updated across all plugins to ensure consistent automation mapping between VST2 and VST3 formats. If you've ever had automation lanes that didn't line up correctly between plugin versions, this one's for you.
  • OpenGL rendering removed. Explicit OpenGL-accelerated rendering has been removed from most plugins. This improves compatibility with certain hosts and system configurations. Hardware-accelerated rendering is still used where available on most systems — you shouldn't notice any difference in UI performance.
  • SDKs and frameworks updated. All plugins have been rebuilt with the latest SDKs and frameworks.

Compressor Plugin Fixes

Our compressor and dynamics plugins — Avalon VT-747SP, MHB Green, Retro Sta-Level, and True Dynamics — all received an additional fix:

  • Gain reduction metering cleaned up. Resolved gain reduction meter inconsistencies that could cause issues in certain hosts. Metering should now be rock solid across the board.

KClip 3 Fixes

KClip 3 received several targeted fixes in addition to the shared updates above:

  • Fixed multiband buzzing with no audio input. KClip 3's 4-band mode could intermittently produce a buzzing or humming noise even on a silent track. This has been resolved by converting the multiband crossover filters and internal distortion filters to double precision, eliminating accumulated rounding errors that prevented the band outputs from perfectly cancelling to silence.
  • Fixed buzzing when loading multiband presets in Cubase. Loading a session or preset that uses 4-band mode (particularly with Tube, Tape, Germanium, Silicon, or Guitar Amp modes) could cause persistent buzzing that couldn't be stopped even by toggling modes. This has been resolved with a thread-safe preset restoration mechanism and removal of redundant filtering that was interfering with the signal path.
  • Fixed DC offset discontinuities in Germanium and Silicon modes. Both Germanium and Silicon clipping modes had a subtle DC bias that could cause clicks or thumps during transitions. The waveshaping has been corrected to properly center at zero without changing the sonic character of these modes.
  • Fixed Broken Speaker mode phase inversion. The Broken Speaker distortion mode had a phase inversion bug that has been corrected.
  • OpenGL disabled by default (not removed). Rather than removing OpenGL entirely, KClip 3 has OpenGL rendering disabled by default for improved host compatibility. The option is still available in the plugin settings if needed on older systems with accelerated graphics cards.
